Bidding Prayers

Bidding Prayers for Sunday 17 November
The 33rd in Ordinary Time
St. Paul’s Parish

Priest: With confidence in the Father who gives us endurance, let us elevate our prayers this Sunday.

Response: Hear our prayer (Except at the 10am Mass)

  • We pray for Pope Francis and all bishops, that faithful to the teachings of the apostles, they may proclaim Christ’s Gospel of salvation to the whole world. Lord, in your mercy, R.
  • We pray for the all the baptised and for unity among Christians, may our faith in Christ as God and Saviour be heard on our lips and seen in our deeds. Lord, in your mercy, R.
  • We pray for all who are away from Christ, may the grace of God, and our own witness, guide them towards the Church, the sacrament of salvation. Lord in your mercy, R.
  • We pray for all who search for truth with a sincere heart, may God bless their efforts and enlighten them with the knowledge of His Son Incarnate. Lord, in your mercy, R.
  • On this World Day of the Poor, we pray for the most vulnerable in our societies, especially those who suffer from injustice and the uncertainties of life, may God give them hope and Christians come to their assistance. Lord in your Mercy, R.
  • Let us now present our own intentions in the silence of our heart.

Priest: Father in heaven, strengthen us always as we proclaim the death and resurrection of Your Son until He comes again. We ask all this through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
